Dr Caroline Scarman

MBBS, FRACGP, MSc, BAppSc

Dr. Scarman is a distinguished General Practitioner and a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She brings a wealth of experience to her practice, having previously worked extensively in Rehabilitation and Geriatric Medicine before transitioning to family-oriented General Practice.

Before embarking on her medical career, Dr. Scarman worked in pathology and served as the Chief Scientific Officer for the Australian Regular Army. Her role involved significant overseas deployments, including assignments in Iraq and Rwanda, and she also served as the Medical Advisor to the National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia.

Dr. Scarman is a local resident with two daughters who attend the local high school. She is passionate about providing comprehensive care and has a special interest in:

  • Women’s Health

  • General Family-Based Medicine and Preventive Care

Dr Elizabeth Johnson

BMedSc, MBBS, FRACGP, DCH

Dr. Johnson has been a dedicated member of the St Ives community for nearly a decade, offering exceptional care as a GP. With a commitment to high standards and a broad expertise in general medicine, she provides comprehensive and compassionate care to her patients.

Dr. Johnson holds dual degrees from the University of Sydney in Medical Science and Medicine, and she has also earned a Diploma in Child Health. She became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2009, reflecting her extensive training and dedication to her profession.

She values building long-term relationships with her patients and their families, focusing on achieving the best possible health outcomes. Her special interests include:

Dr Charanjit (“CJ”) Anand

MBB, FRACGP, MPH

Dr. Charanjit (Cj) Anand has been an integral part of the practice since 2004, bringing a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to the St Ives community. With his extensive background and dedication, he has become a valued member of our team.

Dr. Anand is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and holds a Master of Public Health, reflecting his commitment to both clinical excellence and public health.

His areas of special interest include:

  • Men’s Health

  • Women’s Health

  • Paediatrics

  • Sexual Health and HIV Medicine

Dr Warada Sapatnekar

MBBS (UNSW), FRACGP, DCH

Dr. Sapatnekar is dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to her patients, ensuring their well-being across a range of medical needs.

Dr. Sapatnekar is a graduate of the University of New South Wales and holds a Diploma in Child Health as well as the Family Planning Association of Australia (FPAA) National Certificate.

Her special interests include:

  • Women’s Health: Contraception, pregnancy planning, breastfeeding support, menstrual disorders, Implanon insertion and removal, Mirena removal

  • Children’s Health

  • Mental Health

  • Skin Cancer: Including excision and biopsy procedures

  • Chronic Disease Management and Preventative Health

  • Acute Presentations: Skin lacerations, women’s health

Dr Aneale Uppal

FRACGP, MBBS, B.Med Sci, DCH

Dr Aneale Uppal completed his medical degree at Deakin University in 2011. Having completed GP training, Aneale became a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2017. Aneale enjoys all aspects of general practice and provides comprehensive and holistic care. Aneale has completed a Diploma of Child Health. He has worked as a GP all over Sydney and Australia, including Cairns, Kangaroo Island and Hobart. 

His area of special interest include:

  • Paediatrics

  • Anetenal care

  • Travel Medicine

  • Men’s Health

Outside of work, you’ll find him enjoying time with his wife and two young boys, exploring the outdoors, bushwalking or at the beach, watching sports, keeping fit at the gym, or going for a run.

Dr Sandarenu Lakmini Gunaratne ‘Dr Laki’

MBBS, FRACGP, DCH

Dr Laki has been practicing general practice for over a decade. She completed her medical degree in North Queensland and moved to Sydney where she undertook GP training.  In 2013, she became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. After gaining her fellowship, she went on to earn a Diploma in Child Health.  She continues to stay abreast of up to date clinical management.

During her years of practice, Dr Laki has enjoyed creating and building relationships with her patients and helping them through their healthcare journey. 

Her interests include:

-       Women’s health (Implanon insertion and removal, IUD removal, reproductive health

-       Paediatric care

-       Chronic Disease Management

-       Preventative care

Dr Natasha Paul

MBBS, FRACGP, SCHP

Dr. Natasha Paul is a compassionate general practitioner with six years of experience, specialising in menopause management and general medicine.
A graduate of the University of Tasmania, she has trained in various medical fields at Launceston General Hospital and Westmead Hospital, and gained experience in general paediatrics at Westmead Children’s Hospital while completing the Sydney Child Health Program.
During the pandemic, Dr. Paul served the rural community of Kandos, NSW, and later dedicated a year to addiction medicine at Nepean Hospital.
She is deeply committed to providing holistic healthcare, recognizing the importance of physical, emotional, and social factors in well-being, and strives to understand the root causes of her patients’ health concerns to empower them in making informed decisions about their health.
